    So I found some files to alter inside the Planetside 2 folders.

    Locate your Planetside 2 install folder and find the file named UserOptions.ini Right click it and go to Open with - Notepad.

    Change TextureQuality=0
    RenderDistance=1500
    MaximumFPS=80
    FogShadowsEnable=0

    RenderFlora=Off

    I also changed my VerticalFOV=90

    Save & Close the file.

    Doing this made my FPS go from 15-25 to 55-70

    AMD Phenom II X4 970 @ 3.8ghz, Nvidia MSI 660Ti PE OC, Win7 64 bit, 8GB RAM

    I'll try this out, was running on high in the beta and now I'm back to low/headbang

    I'm pegging 60 while recording (locked to 60) sometimes dipping to ~45 in massive battles. I need to play around with the texture setting, in Beta the 0 was highest for some reason.
    This is also with SweetFX.

    Code:
    [Display]
    FullscreenRefresh=0
    Maximized=0
    RenderQuality=1.000000
    FullscreenWidth=1920
    FullscreenHeight=1080
    WindowedWidth=1024
    WindowedHeight=768
    Mode=Fullscreen
    FullscreenMode=Fullscreen

    [Rendering]
    GraphicsQuality=5
    TextureQuality=0
    ShadowQuality=2
    RenderDistance=999999.000000
    Gamma=0.550000
    MaximumFPS=60
    UseLod0a=0
    OverallQuality=-1
    LightingQuality=5
    EffectsQuality=5
    TerrainQuality=5
    FloraQuality=5
    ModelQuality=5
    VerticalFOV=55
    ParticleLOD=5
    ParticleDistanceScale=0.850000
    FogShadowsEnable=0
    MotionBlur=0
    VSync=0
    AO=1

    5 seemed to look better to me in the beta versus 4. Not sure if they changed anything for release. I'll do some comparing when the servers come up.

    What hardware? I'm curious because I have a powerful PC but my frames in the beta could suck tar through a garden hose.

    By end of beta all settings could see them.
