I have it installed as well. Only play Desert combat tho... This is what started the Battlefield revolution as we know it. Base 1942 was but a stepping stone, however large.

Did it even have headshots/location damage? I don't think it did.

I remember playing Japanese all the time and suicide bombing people on ship at Wake Island with my plane. Good times. You know, trying to be historically accurate and all that. Looking back, it almost seems culturally insensitive. With my post-college-sculpted brain, the whole dive-bombing thing is horrifying. I've read journal entries from the Japanese pilots the night before the attacks.

I remember my friend team killing our players while screaming "I'm a spy! Team killing for the germans!" in his best german accent. I think we were like... 11 years old.

I'm glad I'll never be a kid again.

Were you in DOA or Section 8 in your Desert combat days?

I miss DC and I think that those memories should still stay as really good memories. I miss the Harrier, A-10 and plane swaps on CTF maps. Most of all Bocage and El Alamein :)

Yeah man, was the good old days.

Yeah, we (DOA) ran 24/7 CTF. Real CTF, not like this. Grab the flag and get back to yours or it doesn't count. no self healing vehicles or any of that garbage. Grungir was a master map maker. Thousands of hours of good times.

Do you remember that swoop? Damn that was fun with Taipan and Wood. They(we) had it down, and I was happy to be the C4 dummy to clear the charges on the flag. Nobody else could ever figure out how we did it, and man we pissed some folks off. I remember your clan as well, lots of good peeps.

I think it was VOD who came up with the plane swap and than everyone was trying to master it for a while. They took #1 spot from us on Squadgames because of that on El Al and than we had to work on getting it back. They would only reply to us with air maps when we challenged, but once we got the plane swaps down, it became even more fun.
    Good times man, good times!
