    I've been keeping an eye on this game for couple of months now and it does look kind of interesting.

    Reminds me a lot of Guild Wars 2 and Archage. The graphics look amazing, classes seem to be fun and AOEsh, so this is what I have found out so far:

    Korean version of the game is very grindy.
    World PVP exists and implemented in a way of flagging up on people - losing karma points for killing people, losing items you're carrying upon death.
    Arena type of PVP, 3v3 death match, couple of Battlegrounds.
    Siege warfare - guilds vs guilds, big clusterfuck - this is something where a lot of game developers have failed in a past due to zerginess, dumb mechanics, lag and failed incentives for completing the objectives.
    No dungeons or raids.
    No healers??? I looked at every class, and couldnt find a healer.
    Not every class is available for NA release.

    Does anyone else have any info, negative and positive?

    There aren't healers because there will be self heals and items. I assume there will be skills that can do minor heals to allies much like the elementalist has in GW2

    Talk to Phaedo and Mortos, they are the most excited and really won't stop talking about it. They are also taking part of the second closed beta, after having taken part of the first beta.

    Edit: Mortos may still have an extra beta key if you would like to take part in it, just hit him up in TS.

    There's a ton of fucking information about this game so much so I might finally hit the character limit on the forums XD

    That being said you should totally jump in TS whenever you're good, we can tell you allllllllllll about it and answer pretty much every question you might have.

    That being said I'll respond to all the points you've mentioned here:

    Korean version of the game is very grindy.

    Yes. The Korean version is grindy as fuuuuuck. So is the Russian version but it's more p2w than the korean version. The NA/EU version will be grindy in some key ways but in a forgiving kind of way. No more "grind for parts for two days for a weapon and break it from RNG when upgrading"

    World PVP exists and implemented in a way of flagging up on people - losing karma points for killing people, losing items you're carrying upon death.

    YES! Their Karma System is actually quite ingenious in how it's worked out. It allows people to pk as much as they want but not necessarily everywhere. Open world pvp doesn't actually open until you're level thirty (about 18-24 hours of gameplay) (information keeps changing, so info past this may be out of date) at which point you can turn on your pvp flag and kill anyone else who is above level thirty if they are not in a safe zone they do this to prevent ganking. Ganking in itself honestly never serves a purpose. a level 50 killing a level 18 "wow gg you're so big. the confines of the game's leveling structure gives you such a huge advantage" No one ever gets anything out of ganking, people usually do it just to troll or be a douche. BDO has a Karma system for this reason, and it's being reworked rather constantly.

    Basically you have X points to start out with and every kind of "crime" influences it. Assaulting a play will give you -Y points and murder will give you -Z. (-Z being a much larger, but still negative, integer as opposed to -Y) those numbers then get removed from your total, X, karma. There are certain thresholds in the karma system where passing them brings penalties, usually greater than the tier before. Such as % durability loss or possible gem loss. the levels IIRC are Green > Yellow > Purple > Red. I don't know if this reflects on your name plate or whatever but I know each tier will have debuffs so it will be visible to other players some how.

    THIS ENTIRE PVP SECTION might be totally wrong as of launch and you would probably get better information (because it is A LOT from us in TS). EVERYTHING keeps changing based on feedback and getting a straight answer, even from those who've played isn't easy at this stage, simply because it has more than likely changed twice since then. Not to even mention all the regions of the world have different local rules when it comes to pvp.

    Arena type of PVP, 3v3 death match, couple of Battlegrounds.

    This is probably true, I haven't really looked into structured PvP myself, so I'm unsure

    Siege warfare - guilds vs guilds, big clusterfuck - this is something where a lot of game developers have failed in a past due to zerginess, dumb mechanics, lag and failed incentives for completing the objectives.

    This is a thing, but once again just like the PvP system is so indepth and complex writing about it will only more than likely pass more wrong information than correct information. Better to just talk in TS about it because just like the pvp system this is also always changing because they go hand in hand.

    No dungeons or raids.

    No queueable INSTANCE dungeons or raids, Yes. HOWEVER there are dungeons and raids in the form of locations you need to find on the map. So like there's no dungeon queue or raid finder, but there is a cave at X/Y (coordinates) that is a dungeon.

    No healers??? I looked at every class, and couldnt find a healer.

    There is no static healer class. Some classes can buff each other, but most everyone has potions and they're absolutely spam-able so healers aren't exactly a necessity. Its entirely possible to do a huge fight and have no one take any damage period.

    gotta dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!!

    Not every class is available for NA release.

    True. Only the Warrior, Ranger, Sorceress, Berzerker, Tamer, Valkyrie, Wizard and Witch will be available at NA release. The Blader, Ninja, Kunoichi, Archer, and others, will be released later, some of which aren't even in the Korean version yet.

    Also most classes are gender locked to be male or female, however they usually have a counter-gender counter-part.
    For example:

    Warrior (M) -> Valkyrie (F)
    Super similar tanking styles but different overall because men and women are different

    Wizard (M) -> Witch (F)
    Super similar casting styles but different overall because men and women are different

    Ninja (M) -> Kunoichi (F)
    Super similar, but different

    etc
    etc
    etc

    Yep, he will lol. Your best bet is to just hop in and talk about it. I picked up quite a bit of good info from Mortos and grabbed the Explorer's package. It looks like a game with tons of potential.

    I'll hop in TS for sure. Just been busy over the past 3 months, barely done any gaming at all. Working 11-12 hour days and shit like that.
    Starting March I'm getting an assistant so that should free up some time for me and things should go back to normal. The timing is perfect since the game is getting released in March too.

    Thanks for all the feedback guys. The game sure looks and sounds promising. Looking forward to checking it out some more.

    @Phaedo

    How would you compare this game to Archage overall?
    Reason I ask is because its a Korean game, very similar setting with only a lack of naval warfare.
    I'm assuming that that gear comes from crafting and such, since there is no raids or dungeons.
    Is there housing as well? Farms? Picking corn and milking bulls?

    Compared to archage, im saying from the experiance i had of the CBT1 it was funner. the combat system is actually fun beacuse you arent just pushing hotkeys you actually move. I bought a one story house in the third village with plans buy the second floor later. the way that works is that the houses are instanced so lots of other people also owned the same house i owned but we never saw each other.
    for farming the same thing instanced farms per player

    https://www.reddit.com/r/blackdesertonline/comments/2qucdg/intro_to_farming/

    I never got to any dungeons but its fun you also can do livestock breeding and trading so like horses and stuff like that
