As much as I would love to be able to do it spontaneously, getting everyone together at unscheduled times is rough. Getting everyone together for scheduled times is actually pretty rough too.

So we're going to vote on nights that work the best for everyone. Unfortunately there are going to be people left out. Which makes me sad, but life happens. THE VOTING WILL STAY UP FOR 3 DAYS. VOTE NOW!

While I'm streaming I'll have to have time restrictions on how late we can do this as my roommate comes home around 1am cst and streaming takes up the entire allotted b/w for my house. Sunday and monday nights won't work for me either.

In this thread also throw in suggestions for the first series/movie to be shown. (Limit your suggestions to 2 this round, keep it in the recommended guidelines.) There will be another vote for the most popular choices a couple of days before the stream begins. Keep an eye out!

To get this information I went to myanimelist for some relevant info.

    Hospiwhater's round 1 vote suggestions:

    Daily Lives of Highschool Boys
Genre: Slice of Life, Comedy, 4koma Style
    # of Episodes: 12

Personal synopsis: even in japan the high school boys go through the same stuff boys in the states go through. To fighting with girls, sibling shenanigans, hanging out and just goofing off. This show is hilarious, following a couple sets of characters that are all connected somehow. And their sisters.

By the end of the series you find out just how much of a connection they have. It's a great series that I actually own the blurays for.

    Baccano!
    Genre: action, drama
    # of episodes: 12? (13?)

Personal synopsis: you like Tarantino films? You like gangster Era gang action? You like super humans and guns? How about trains?

This series takes place mostly in one day on a train following multiple groups of amazing characters with complex back stories and missions, leading to a clash of the ages on a train ride through America one night in the prohibition days. A must watch.

So next time I mention COD you don't get to say anything.

And as for my "productive comment" what are we classifying as anime. Are we being Japanese specific or are we including international anime

On that topic Crisis, that's quite questionable because shows like Oban Star Racers and Avatar are different because they were made in different countries. Oban Star Racers was made in France with a bit of help from a Japanese studio while Avatar was made in America but was heavily influenced from Asia.

It's a good topic to discuss anyway.

france has been putting out some good stuff recently, I wouldn't mind checking it out. Wakfu, Avatar, that new french ladybug cartoon thats actually helmed by a japanese studio. there are more that I can't remember right now aren't out at all. It can definitely be considered alongside the rest of them. But remember that we're voting for the shows so you may have to sell it with all the other shows people wanted to share.
