This was the reason I joined NNG

I thought about putting this in the existing CC thread we used for signups, but I really want all of you to read this, if it interests you.

I couldn't have been more proud of our competitive team, and NNG as a whole, after tonight's match against SG. We came in clumsy, and SG had a very well-defined opening strategy followed by relentless pressure. Our backs were against the wall the entire first round, and we came close to losing several times. It was intense, and to be honest I was nervous as hell during half-time. My experience pushing geological survey was that it was one of the most difficult bases to cap in the entire lane. Yet instead of getting frustrated, or everyone trying to be an armchair general, we rallied together, devised a new plan, and came out swinging in round 2.

And oh did we ever show up in round 2. It was a near picture-perfect example of combined arms gameplay, the way we strangled SG at Geological survey. And not only did we cap that base, but went on to push all the way to the Amp station. Throughout the entire night, NNG members were upbeat and helpful on teamspeak, even during frustrating and intense moments. No one did anything stupid in yell chat. We presented the very best of what NNG is all about tonight, to the entire PS2 community. Teamwork, excellence, maturity and fun.

We had many of you in the outfit who weren't playing were cheering us on, through PM's, twitter and on the twitch stream chat. Tonight's win is something all of you can be proud of, not only because of the score at the end, but because of how we did it - with class. Thank you for letting me be a part of this team, and serve as one of your officers. This is the kind of experience I was hoping for when I left BWC 2 months ago.

Props to Kuat, Sotet and Jaam for leading our teams tonight, and to each member of the team for their vital contributions. Now, lets put our heads together and get ready for DasAnFall next week - it will be our toughest challenge yet, and many people don't believe we have what it takes to overcome them. I'm here to tell you - after what I saw tonight, we have the ability to take on any team in the game right now. So lets get to work, and open round 1 next week just like we started round 2 tonight!

Wow, thanks for posting that. It was awesome! Yes, you are very good but what really impressed me was the radio chatter and coordination of tactics. No useless information, all tactical information clear and concise. THAT is the reason you won last night! Very proud to be NNG.

I am ecstatic about our victory as well. We all performed atthe level or top tier ccompetitors (get it?) to think this iutfit started from literally one person inviting others over a shitty in game voip to a well defined NA Finalist outfit speaks a lot about our community and our skill level. We are attractive to people like mustarde who seek more than what other places can offer and those who engage regularly with us have been here since the beta times. Lets carry our valor into our next match and proceed to the world finals. It will be something we can hold on to for years to come.
