I have disgust for ads that trick people into clicking them, combined with my fear of junk that I don't want to unintentionally download.

What kind of cooling do you have? I have a Hyper 212 EVO on my i5-3570k and overclocked to 4.4 GHz (I got to 5.2 GHz bootable, but obviously that's beyond unnecessary and overworks the thing), and I never dip above 55 Celsius.

CoolMaster big flipen heavy bolt on fan. The CPU cooler in my computer is bigger than the one in my car! Not really, but it is by far the heaviest component in my rig. Seems to do a good job for the $60 bucks I dropped on it. I want to water cool...but looks so expensive. Around $300 for another 20% boost to performance? I guess I could look at it like it were a PSU and would last me a long time. I hope. I just upgraded my RAM. I dropped to 8G from 12G, but I bumped the speed to 2133.

What happens when you use RAM sticks that run at different speeds?

You're thinking full water cooled. You can buy pre filled closed loop cpu coolers, I recommend corsair. I use the h80

It's called an asynchronous setup. The 'real' speed will be much lower than the speed of your fastest stick so the gain is minimal. It would work fine though, but expect your average speed to be only slightly higher than that of the slowest stick in your setup.

The Hyper 212 cost me $30, and I overclocked higher than yours. What case do you have? How's the airflow?

My mobo doesn't support it afaik (standard Dimension E520 mobo), but if someone has suggestions, please PM those to me. I'd love to get some extra frames so I'm willing to try a lot :)
