No I just found it on a website. A local restaurant I used to frequent had it on their menu.

I switched to vegetarian around late Jan this year after learning about how we really do not need meat to survive whatsoever and how absolutely horribly animals are treated just so we can say "yum" for 10 minutes.

Did you know they castrate male piglets by just ripping their balls off? No sterilization, no sedatives, no nothing. People gotta have their bacon. I want no part of it anymore.

Anyone who has even slightly wondered what it's like to be a vegaterian should watch a doc called Vegucated. It changed me. And I grew up in a Polish and Italian household. Meat fucking everywhere lol. I dont mind if other people meat whatsoever, but I just decided to remove it from my life. Sorry for going off on a rant about it. I think it's pretty serious stuff.

 

Texas style MOIST brisket... omg. Anything from the fucking smoker pit and I'll tear that shit apart.

 

This is why I love to shop from local farmers markets and local butcher shops that get their meat from local farms. It's one thing to get your meat from Tyson, it's another to get healthy, free roam animals

We call it 'Speklappen'.
Over here, it's as common as bacon. Actually, it's just a kind of bacon, just thicker. And burnificated ofcourse, since you're supposed to BBQ them. Also, the red stuff is something we call 'saus'.
