Server issues thread

I did everything the sticky thread told me to do for the new launcher, and it turns out im missing mods. I did the same thing as ket and cleared my cache. it failed to install and update. I tried doing EXACTLY what you said and overwriting the files, at first it said I had duplicate mods, so I went and deleted them, but now it is saying I am missing mods to enter the server. it says I am missing; snyke7_Transformers:v1.7b, OmniTools:3.0.1.0, ImmibisCore:52.2.4, LogisticsPipesMain:0.7.0.81, NetherOres:1.4.6R2.0.4, APUnofficial:@VERSION@, DimensionalAnchors:52.1.6, IC2:1.115.208-lf, ComputerCraft:1.481, AdvancedRepulsionSystems:52.0.4, CCTurtle:1.481, and Tubestuff:52.1.2.

 

OK! I've finally managed to get everything working nicely together, and I have the new mod pack. I'll get Nano to update the server access thread when she gets the chance later tonight (hopefully), but the cliff notes of it is:

1. You need the new technic launcher ( http://www.technicpack.net/ ).
2. When you load up the launcher you should see a list of modpacks on the left-hand side. Click the one that says "Add New Modpack".
3. A text box should appear saying "Paste Platform URL Here", use this: http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/nng-pack
4. Login! The server address is still: trisvill.com:25566

NOTE: There seems to be some problems with the tekkit website at the moment, and a lot of people are having trouble adding modpacks (presumably because of site load). There isn't anything I can do about this. If you are familiar with modding minecraft though you can get everything to mod a vanilla 1.4.7 install from http://trisvill.com/nngpack.zip . The contents of that .zip file go into your .minecraft folder and bin/modpack.jar needs to be merged into the minecraft.jar. Only do this if you know what you are doing however, and you need to be careful the vanilla launcher doesn't update your client to 1.5.1 which won't work at all.

Sweet, I'll defiantly look into that. The stock firmware is defiantly the best stock router firmware I've encountered so far, but still not up to the level of DD-WRT, Tomato, etc.

 

I tried doing what you said, but it gave me the same error every time I tried, I dunno if its because of the site problems that have been going on, but the error is; Error Parsing platform response.

Edit: I did attempt to add a different modpack from the technick site and received the same error.

 

Yea, there isn't anything I can do about that. Some people have success with changing the URL to http://beta.technicpack.net/api/modpack/nng-pack
I know the pack works because it worked for me earlier, but if I try now it gives me that error. Judging from the forums were not the only ones.

 

yes, after the small experiment I did with other packs, it is clearly the technik server, guess patience is key, hehehe.

Heh, I cant even select any of the packs on there, keeps saying failed to retrieve information of selected pack.

 

MDTrav is right, I got it to work, but when I paste the URL and stuff, it only downloads like one thing. I go to log into our server, and it says Im missing FML.
