    Well shit.

And I thought I had something to look forward to coming back to when I eventually get back to AA.

But it doesn't really look like that now, considering that and some other outside factors caused by Trion themselves.

I don't think there was any drama going on unless I missed something. I don't agree with selfishness either. All of us are still friends and always help each other out regardless of which guild we're in. The attitudes weren't shitty either because again, we're still friends, and couple of misunderstandings which we had to deal with were addressed and worked on.
What lead to the death of division was lack of recruitment and Phaedo stepping away for a week or two due to RL. Other officers weren't as active due to RL as well.
Since there was nothing going on, people decided to seek excellence else where.
Now some of us are in QRY/Man up, and some in 903rd. Both guilds are good and have a lot of good people in them.

Best thing that I was personally impressed with was when a 903rd guy helped me out when my boat was getting trolled at the port, after I thanked him for it, he said "we know you're NNG (even tho I was guildless at that time), so we decided to help a brother out."

Our foundation was rock solid, NNG was and still is well respected amongst those who know who we are, and this goes a long way. Just because some things were out of our control and some things weren't addressed on time, doesn't mean that we have failed.

We're still enjoying the game and I thank Phaedo for introducing everyone to the game.

If you want to get back to ArcheAge feeling like a game and not whatever it was for you before, I can attest to this being 100% the right move. 903rd has welcomed us with open arms, they are an extension of the same kindof community we built here.

I will say it again, AA caters to large operation guilds, which is why it may havw been frustrating previously. We in NNG are very tightknit and were comfortable with our size in AA but there came a point it felt like other groups were leaving us behind. I think this merge has been the perfect move to keep us up-to-speed and competitive in-game while maintaining the community feel at the same time. Wanted to give it a few days before I posted anything. Definitely encourage anyone who left to come back without previous assumptions and give it a go :)

Please don't hate if your merchant ship gets jacked, it's nothing personal. This is the way Man Up is and we don't control it. Last few days I had more fun playing the game than I ever had. We're very well organized, solid leadership and quick response time. It takes us literally a couple minutes to form up and come to aid those who needed. Man up is All-for-One type of a guild and it's just the way things are.

I discussed this with shuzz and a few others the other day.

Because NNG (within AA) splintered into different guilds, we really have no way of controlling green on green conflict - especially since Man Up is a PK pvp guild that camps friendly waters (and does it very effectively - and this is not a criticism or jab, it's simply how I would classify the guild. I actually like most of them).

Man up is KOS to 903 because of previous attacks. I'm sure 903 is KOS to man up because... why not. The best thing I could hope for is that if you see a fellow NNG member, don't go out of your way to attack us. I certainly won't be hunting down Jaamaw or Thane or anyone else. But if we end up fighting, the only thing I can do is say "good fight" at the end and let it be. After all, it is a pvp-based MMO right? No hard feelings.

That being said, I strongly advise against any discussion of tactical or organization information on this forum. Those of us in 903 can use their forums to discuss internal affairs. Again, it's nothing personal. Just common sense.

I am having more fun than ever in AA after the merge. I don't even care why this community couldn't maintain itself in-game. Things are better now.

Man up doesn't only go for greens, we go for everyone and if a merchant ship is poorly defended, it's their own fault. Once you hit contested waters, it's FFA.
Man up doesn't have a KOS list, everyone is ROS - Rape on Sight ;)
