The PS2 Division: The Return

Ok, so with everyone's done and said. Let's get to the meat of things about getting this thing back together.

I left PS2 because literally, I had no one else left to play with. The whole NNG/NNGC split made me think that I had less people to play with and that wasn't cool. I was actually glad we "were" supposed to merge back together and get my invite back into the main outfit. And then shit blew up.

But let's leave that in the past, yes?

I'm probably not the best person to take the reins (because I'm playing FFXIV like I'm playing WoW lulz), but all I'm asking is that someone who's still playing PS2 quite regularly to come back and deal with the management. I'd like to come back to playing this game with weekly events just to have a squad up and wreck faces. I'd be totally down for that. If people wants to come in and join the PS2 division, we should take them in with open arms. The whole application process is still in place; that's no question, but we should still be taking people. I don't want to turn people away because of this shit that happened.

So what makes us a division?

1) We still have people who want to play this game. We also have people who left the PS2 outfit and play with other outfits like JOD and Mustarde. I'd like to see us all back under one tag; the NNG tag. It shouldn't matter if you're not here as often or if you plain suck at the game (I have a 0.5-0.6 kdr ratio. I suck. It's obvious), everyone in the NNG community is welcome to play with us. I just want people to remember we're still here and we're not splintered.

2) Our purpose is just to have fun. We're casual tryhards. We're not here trying to whore our stats. I think that's what happened when the division started rolling downhill; there was segregation between the casuals and the absolute tryhards. I came here to just have fun and still have the structured operations. Most of that went away when we started focusing too much on the competitive side when we realistically don't have the numbers to upkeep a team interested. Maybe it's because of the league rules or probably yet, how we handled attendance issues for practices and stuff. I guess what happened was that eventually our weekly practices were now restricted to people who are on the competitive team. OR rather, I think that people had the feeling they weren't welcome to join in just because there's some of us that we weren't good enough to join in.

While I shouldn't dwell on the past, I'm not going to. I guess we can start with small squads weekly before scaling up to large platoon ops like back in the day.

But yeah, I'm probably rambling from this point and I'm just throwing ideas out to see where people are interested in right now.

But please, please, please, I'm begging you guys, just don't start throwing crap around here. I just want to get the PS2 nights back together and just shoot people in the face and run people over with Magriders (which are probably nerfed to hell. Thanks SoE).

 

I'm in, only play these days to hang out with ye guys, archeage isn't doing it for me.

 

I'll try to join you guys when I get a chance, however that may be in a week due to school work.

Friday/saturday is good...

 

When I don't have a ton of schoolwork, I still play quite a lot. I play afternoons/evenings during the week, and pretty much all hours on the weekends.
