First steps in PS2

Hi guys,

I'm mainly a War Thunder player but have seen how popular PS2 is on here and was thinking of giving it a go. I have it installed and played it a while back a little but was pretty terrible, so I was wondering what I should do as the first few steps to get me going on PS2?

If you are looking for some good starter videos check out Wrel on youtube. Dont take all he says for gospel but he is a great first source.

Recommend trying your hand at a few diff classes to see what you like. A lot of new players lean towards playing medic/engie because they can get certs/xp faster than if they played some of the more "need to be able to kill ppl" classes. Certs are what you use to upgrade your character classes/vehicles. 1 cert = 250xp. If you go medic/engir certout your class tool first, e.g. your healing tool/repair tool. Weapons are expensive to unlock with certs at first and are mainly sidegrades. Your default guns should suit you fine for awhile.

Just keep your expectations grounded at first. There can be a steep learning curve for some areas of the game, especially vehicle/air gameplay. Find a squad or stick close to the fights and you will be just fine. The game heavily rewards teamwork which is great for new players. Hop to see ya in TS!

 

First 30 certs should go to Sunderer AMS so you can create spawn points.

Then the best way to level up should be to concentrate on Medic or Engineer, level up the appropriate support tool.

As Medic you want to be rezzing whenever possible, as Engineer, follow around a MAX and provide heals

Then as soon as you hit level 10 start putting points into spawn beacon, even if you never squad lead you may need to be given temporary lead to get a vital spawn point out, also the higher leveled your beacon is the faster you spawn on other people's beacons as well

I will gladly trade you PS2 advice for WT advice. I'm terrible at that game. I tried a reverse thrust by habit and crashed into the ground like a jackass......twice....

 

Oh I'm sure I'll do plenty of stupid stuff in PS2, especially if I fly like in War Thunder. Happy to trade advice
