Herman Joseph's first real craft beer and I wish it was still being made. Other wise Ziegenbock pretty hard to beat

What sort of imported beers from Australia do you have access too ? If some fool says fosters please no, just no.

From my time working in a bar. Peroni, Stella Artois, and Asahi where pretty good sales.

Lately in Australia people have started drinking ciders, James squire and rekorderlig (extremely popular).

    Classic Australian /staple beers.

    - VB Victoria bitter tastes like ass but you drink one every 5 or so years just to remind yourself how shitty it is. This is the AOD of Australian beer.

    - XXXX Gold The staple working mans beer in Queensland. Its like the DAPP of beer in Australia. Its only better than VB because its from our side of the country.

So its kind of like people from down South say theirs is better than ours kind of deal but no third party to decide.

    - XXXX summer, like regular xxxx but somehow tastes of summer. Available all year round cause Yolo.

    - XXXX bitter, its in the name.

    - Tooheys extra dry.

There are others but not worth mentioning :) Not sure if any of those would be available in any import stores but you never know.

If any of you guys live in the CT, MA, or RI area, Tree House Brewing Co. in Monson, MA is a great little brewery. The throughput is a bit slow (had to wait an hour to get my beer today) but it's ultimately worth it.

Hm, I went to Detroit the other day. I can't remember what IPA I drank. It was really good. If anyone has gone to Fishbones there, maybe someone can help me?

I've also tried out Blue Moon lager while I was there. I almost thought it was the best beer I've ever had in a while. @.@

Anyway, for those of you who are Canucks, here's some recommendations:

    - Alexander Kieth's (not really an IPA, but a good pale ale)
    - Steam Whistle
    - Half Pints (not sure if you can find it anywhere else but in Manitoba x=)
    - Granville Island (BC brewed! <3 I love this brand!)

I should try some more American beers one time... That aren't big brand. Any recommendations?

This weekend I'm going to run beer through a French press with some fresh hops that my wife grew in her garden. Looking forward to some extra hop infused tastings. Anyone ever do this before?

Dunno, this is a pretty in depth homebrewing source, I found a while back. It goes through a bunch of techniques, adding hops in later to a process might be covered.

    Bumping this.
Local off license has 6 for the price of 5 on craft and import beers.
Hoping to do a tasting tonight and will post up the reviews tomorrow.
Got a few ales and belgium beers in the mix.
Hopefully I can do a few tries of it over the months as they had a large selection so I had no problems finding 6 different ones to try out.
