Awesome job guys. I get nothing but great feedback about the duels.

What do you guys think about regular RB events on Thu nights?
and of course, who would be willing to take the lead?

Let's say 8-9pm EST for everyone to get together and queue up at the same time.

I had a blast in last night's duels tourney. You guys asked for some input on how we could make things run better. I have a couple ideas for you. The first is setting up the brackets.

I just checked this out and my hat's off to Goobz on this find. It is perfect! I actually signed up and set up a fake tournament loosely based on what my alcohol fogged brain can remember from last night. The bracket can be seen here... http://challonge.com/lb029inh

Now, before people get in a twist, I know this is not how it actually went...it is just an example. It is based on 6 teams entering. Because of the number of entrants, the tourney started with 2 byes in the first round (Val / Beach and Trux / Ernst). In an actual tourney, we would need a way to determine who gets any byes. The most obvious for one bye is the previous week's winner. Any other byes could (and probably should) be determined by how well they scored in past tourneys. If that data is unavailable, then a score based on their in-game player card could be used.

The second idea has to do with actual tourney play. Instead of setting up one custom battle, and going through the select teams process like we did last night, we set up two battles. These would be set up by the first two matches to be played. So, using the example I linked, Bacon / Walrus sets up Custom Battle 1 and Goobz / Badger sets up Custom Battle 2. The rest of the current non-playing entrants divide into spectating each of these. When those matches are over, rinse and repeat with the next two matches.

    Just some food for thought...

I think it would also be a good idea to start getting everyone's opinions on what plane/planes we will be flying. Should help cut down on time sitting in a lobby.

Personally I would like to fly the Kittyhawk or Hellcat, some monoplanes to mix things up
