Hey guys, need a little help. I just bought myself a 27"Asus monitor (amazing) and would like to use it with my old 21" ViewSonic, especially while running games... that's the problem though. When I have both plugged in, the 27" is lagging like hell. I've tried to turn down a few settings but nothing really helps. the moment I unplugged my 21", everything got better. Any idea what may be causing this?

    System:
    Win 7
    GTX 760
    AMD 8320 8 Core @ 3.8 ghz
    650 Watt PSU

My guess it may be the power supply... but I'm not sure. Any ideas? Thanks for any suggestions.

your power supply is weak and you should be running dual video cards for dual monitors when gaming. if just surfing the web etc, one is fine with a single video card. PS should be 950-1000 watt range minimum

That is entirely untrue. I don't know where you got that information, but it is a horrible place to get it. The power supply wont be an issue. His entire rig with what he has given us will take about 350w to run so even if it were to take more juice, he is perfectly fine.

He stated that the monitors are different sizes so he obviously isn't running dual monitors gaming on two screens, and besides you need three if you want to do multi-monitor gaming. As long as he has 2 gigs of vRAM on the card, he will be fine running dual monitors.

I have run dual monitor set-ups perfectly fine on 2 gig cards with little to no issue at all on a 750w psu with more powerful 2 gig vRAM cards. Maybe a few frames lost here and there but nothing noticeable at all to matter. So whoever told you the information you know is talking straight out of their ass

LOL , if you have ever read.. higher end video cards have recommended specs, i am sure that a 650 ps is the lowest ps that a higher end card can use. my last 6 systems were dual video cards with large monitors with zero issues. I have always used 950 watt -1100 watt ps.

Actually I have read and those are reccomended psu wattages becuase they are giving the full load of a card. Unless you are really stressing a card using high/ultra settings and an older gpu then you will need what it says. You will only need aproximately half of what is recommended on the side of the box. Before you try to insult me and claim I don't read, please do your research and quit being a pompous ass.

Sitting on a HD7950 overclocked a little bit using a 600W PSU, no issues here running two monitors all the time, with 3 being a special occasion.
