The recruitment is coming along great. There was a point and time when I wanted to close it because we got a lot of new applicants.

Due to the turnover, the recruitment will not be getting closed any time soon. So far we have picked up a lot of great players and it looks like that they're enjoying themselves here.
I would also like to thank everyone who has been helping with keeping the thread bumped and left some great feedback about NNG.

Our thread can be found here:
    http://forum.warthunder.com/index.p...nsense-gamers-recruiting-usna-air-and-ground/

    GOING FORWARD:

Like I said before, the recruitment has been working very well and so was the turnover.
I have removed a lot of new recruits who have been treating us as a parking lot. Frankly, FUCK YOU TOO!
They took the time to join us, they didn't have the time to tell us that they have given up on the game or whatever the case was.
It doesn't matter at this point. If they feel like they want to come back, they're more than welcome to do so.

We're going to put together a new thread and focus on quality as oppose to quantity. We are at the point where we can be picky and we will be picky.

I need YOUR advice on new criteria that we're going to be using.

I will be editing this post as we go along with some ideas.

    So far:
    - Pilot level requirement - 20, any applicants of lower level would have to speak me personally in TS or via PMs on OUR forums.

    Any more ideas?

Edit my thread and post your own version if you will. I would love to see some effort from our current members.

    Thank you.

I must disagree with the Pilot level point only, we do a great job of recruiting and training pilots the way we fly. I personally do not have an issue with helping new pilots get tier feet wet in AB and HB. We teach our ways therefore we have nononsense. IMHO

minimum number of votes required before acceptance? One week or longer get to know period, if they are an asshat, it comes out when they feel comfortable with us. If we move to soon a problem we may have. In my business we hire slow and fire fast.

I agree with highlander on the pilot level. No other division discriminates by player skill or rank because to do so would be nonsense in itself.

It's always been 3 votes minimum and a week trial followed by a week voting. Unless linch has been doing something drastically different from the other divisions.

I'm not talking about their personalities. If someone is an idiot, they will get filtered out in TS.
The pilot level represents their commitment to the game. We don't have a skill requirement, YES, we can teach new people. I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the turnover. People start playing the game, they think to themselves "I'll just join some squadron...oh... these NNG guys seem to be Ok", than they quit the game. This is the type of turnover I don't want.

The pilot level requirement is final. I'm going to give it a shot. 80 people in a squadron with 20 active, 10 of which are really active, 20+ people removed for being inactive, lets do some math here.... oh I just did it.... and the answer is FUCK THAT!
We have also had recruits who used us, they learned as much as they could and disappeared. "ok, thank you for wasting mine and everyone else's time asshole, good luck to you in your next squadron or the next game you play".

The votes on new applicants and such are not really needed. Feedback from our current members is good enough for me. If someone doesn't like a new recruit, I will probably not accept that person because I do value our current members a lot more than those who are looking to join.

If someone wants to manage the recruitment, please let me know because I can use some help. I will discuss it with Ghost and Linch and we'll see how it goes. The only requirement that I have is for this person to be active in War Thunder and be a good example.

Pilot level requirement stands, the actual level is up for a discussion. I picked 20, we can either raise it or lower it.
If this doesn't work, we will revive our old thread. The current one needs to die if we go through with this.

I WANT PILOTS WHO TREAT WAR THUNDER AS THEIR PRIMARY GAME OR CLOSE TO IT!!!

I can easily handle the recruitment if you want. I plan to play more once I get to school with better internet so I dont see rubber banding.

New players looking to join NNG is a great thing, although you run the risk of them not sticking to the game you have a great opportunity of forming a bond with a player who may stay with NNG for a long time and hopefully is entire pc gaming career. I know you want players who have WT as their primary but being a division leader is not just looking out for your division but for NNG as a whole at the same time. Making an excellent division but only wanting those who are dedicated to WT won't look good for NNG because although you may feel you are just looking for people who are sincerely interested in the game and play it, to others and possibly many you may look like an elitist.

Take into account that NNG isn't a hardcore gaming group but a casual community. We may have some competitive aspects but we are always welcoming to people just looking for a group to kick back and frag a few with.

If this is your plan then dont count on many new recruits.. doing this goes against everything NNG stands for.

if this is strictly for a competitive team then there is leeway but just to join NNG WT is uncalled for

Level requirement filters out those who try out the game and leave. I don't see how I would be going against EVERYTHING that NNG stands for.

You have to understand that this is a free to play game and people download it, try it for few days and leave. This is what I don't want.
If you want NNG to stand for a WT Parking Lot, than we're heading the right direction. As for the amount of new recruits, I'm totally comfortable with not getting many, but getting those who wouldn't disappear after getting their tags or during the trial period.

I'm not discriminating against players so you may want to rephrase what you said. I'm separating those who would be more likely to stick around.

Enough of this pilot level bullshit, seriously, the drama that's coming from this is nonsense of its own and please don't fucking tell me what NNG stands for. I have recruited more people for NNG than both of you combined and I did it in less than 2 months time. You have no idea how much time I have spent on recruitment and I know what works for War Thunder and what doesn't.

I made this thread asking for suggestions and what we can add to the existing thread to make our recruitment better. So far all I heard was NO NO NO, DONT DO THIS OH NO NOT THE PILOT LEVEL..... it takes what, a week to get to level 15-20?

FFS, why don't you geniuses suggest something new instead of bashing my idea.
