I updated all the mods in the modpack.zip, only a couple mods did not have updates. I created a server and tested some things and everything seemed to work like it is supposed to. I will post a link to the zip when it is finished uploading to dropbox. Here is the link https://www.dropbox.com/s/4e2xdmi9rtu1vr9/clientmods.zip powercrystals core is now a coremod, and TreeCap now requires bspkrsCore

What server side only mods are you guys running so I can test that also? I just downloaded the generic tekkit lite server, I did not add anything that was not added to the client or the modpack.zip. I also used the config you supplied in modpack.zip.

If you guys want to toss the world file on dropbox so I can test it with our world that would be cool, but not really necessary I suppose.

We don't have any server mods through bukkitforge at the moment - everything is in the modpack.zip. We had manually updated a few of Tekkits mods, but I can see you've got them included in your zip (since they were in ours).

Tekkit was supposed to update last week, and I was kind of waiting on that before pushing an update, but we might as well go forward without it. Looks like they've delayed the Tekkit Lite update for some reason. We'll try to get the server updated tonight.

    edit:
I haven't been able to get Dropbox to accept the world file, I think that at 2.5 gigs it's too large for it. It would start uploading and then just fail halfway through.

Yea I have been watching the tekkit forums waiting also. I know the server has been fairly dead as of late because some stuff does not work and we cannot explore. We can upate all the mods but people would have to clear their mods folder manually and put the new ones it. I dont know if that would be to difficult for somepeople or not. I know when I was using my Zip file I would have to go and delete the old versions of buildcraft, thermal exp, and a few others.

I think some of the mods' current versions that we are using have some serious bugs. I cannot even create a single player world, it takes almost an hour to build the terrain and then crashes after 30 seconds of being in game. That is what prompted me to get updated versions of all the mods and test.

Humm, while there are a few updates to some of the minor mods, that's hardly most. Other then Ars that is, and we have been holding off on that intentionally because I learned the hard way that the Ars Dev. doesn't do very much stability testing of his updates before releasing them. If you are using the version numbers from the file names of the mods, those are nearly all wrong. In order to update the server without forcing everyone to delete their mods directory I rename the files to be the same as their previous version.

Fake edit: I guess a fair number of the base tekkit mods have updated, but to be honest I was expecting a tekkit update more then a week ago. When the dev. said this (on the 18th):

Yea, I'm not absolutely sure what's doing it, but I think it's ARS. I've been watching the ARS thread and while a few people seem to be experiencing the issues we're currently having, there don't seem to be any new ones, so I'm willing to try updating tonight to see if it helps. Even if that's not the source of the exploring problem, we might get our inscription tables back.

Ya, the unfortunate fact of the matter is that being too quick to update is what got us into the current server mess.

I hate it. :( I see bugfixes and I want to update immediately... makes me beyond sad that we can't trust updates to be stable.

Well I can use my server as a test server then before any updates or new mods are rolled out I can put them on my server and we can test them.

If you can compress the world file in multiple files, upload a few at a time to dropbox and I can grab them as they are uploaded. I think that would be the best test enviroment. Rar them up! The free dropbox is only 2gigs. Either that or I can start an ftp server.

Before I put the mods live on the server I run them on a test server already to check for stability; the problem being that there is only so many things Nano and I can test on our own. If all you want is a way to do a more through stability test I can just open up my own test server and save us both a lot of time and effort.
